About Us

Chelmsford Chiropractic Center was started by Dr. Fischer in the 1980's. Previously located within its own building on Turnpike Rd in Chelmsford, Dr. Fischer had a therapy room, 3 adjustment rooms, a gym open to his patients, and an X-ray machine on site. 5 years ago, after colleague doctors moved onto their own practices the doctor moved to the center of town to 6 Boston Rd, his current practice. There is no longer a gym or private X-ray area but that doesn't mean we believe any less in the usefulness of diagnostic X-rays and physical health. Dr. Fischer encourages exercise and is happy to suggest exercises which will strengthen muscles and reduce pain. He refers patients to Village Radiology, a walk in X-ray location right down the road with the newest digital equipment. Village Radiology reviews the X-rays and sends us a report on the patient's condition, giving Dr. Fischer another opinion to discuss with you. Dr. Karl B. Fischer, Jr. has been a privately practicing chiropractor over 20 years and has seen over 3,600 people in this practice alone. He is an alumnus of Life Chiropractic College, the largest chiropractic college in the world. In 1995 Dr. Fischer was the President of Middlesex Chiropractic Society. Although many people think that chiropractic is just for the treatment of their back or neck, this is an incorrect assumption. Chelmsford Chiropractic Center focuses on the health of the whole body! Believe it or not, headaches can be caused by a misalignment of the neck. Your knee or elbow joints can hurt if a hip or shoulder is out of place. Dr. Fischer manipulates the spine and extremities and realigns the bones to where they're supposed to be. This treatment does take time but compared to the time for recovery and rehabilitation after surgery, it is a much better option for most people. Chiropractic is a good alternative for those too young or too old for surgery, or those who are experiencing some back pain too mild for surgery, but intense enough to cause discomfort and/or interfere with activities of daily living.
