Rates & Insurance
Cash
The basic Cash rate (if uninsured or insurance does not cover) is $65/V (as well as an initial $45 exam charge for the first visit). Cash patients still receive electric stimulation and the G5 massage but do not have to pay any extra for them (this is a $45 value.)
We also offer for you to pay one flat rate for a year of treatment.
Personal Injury
Auto Accident or Work-Related Accident? We accept both and they areusually covered at 100%; That means no co-pay, no deductible, no co-ins, etc.
Mass law requires your auto insurance company to pay out $2,000 for your health care after the accident and up to $8,000 if you don't have health insurance (or if they don't cover.) This applies if its your fault or not-your auto carrier takes responsibility for the settlement and payment from the other carrier if needed. We will work with your auto insurance or lawyer (if you have one) to get you better!
Work Related Injuries are handled by your work or a company hired by your work, depending on the size of the place you work at. Some Worker's Comp people treat intensely till out of pain or continue to treat for years under Worker's Comp, depending on the injury. There is no set cut off for Worker's Comp injuries. Most people treat for a few months for an injury.

Health Insurance
Most insurance does cover Chiropractic. If your insurance normally requires a PCP referral it is likely to require one for chiropractic. We can check referral requirements if you wish.
Below is a list, in alphabetical order, of the most commonly accepted insurance companies and ways to tell benefits right from your card:
Aetna
Aetna covers chiropractic with many different plans. Please call and we will verify all benefits for you. May require a PCP referral.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA
HMO plans with prefix MTN or MTP allow 12 visits a year and more can be requested upon the 13th visit. *If you work for Verizon or have a PCP in New Hampshire, prior authorization is not required.*
PPO plans with prefix such as XXP or XXH will soon require authorization in the same way as HMO. Patients will be alerted when this goes into effect. Till then benefits range from 12 visits a year to unlimited. Call us and give us your name, DOB, and ID number and we will be more than happy to check this for you.
Normally does not require referrals for chiropractic.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Any State
These plans are accepted and most cover chiropractic. Limits differ state to state.
Cigna
Cigna covers chiropractic with many different plans. Please call and we will verify all benefits for you.
Fallon
We accept Fallon if the plan has a PHCS (Private Healthcare System) provision. It should show PHCS on the card and is normally just on PPO plans.
Great-West Healthcare
Please refer to United Healthcare for information on ACN (ACN is required for every Great-West patient.) Benefits vary plan to plan
Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare
HPHC displays on their cards, after all the other co-pays, a co-pay specific to chiropractic. This shows the co-pay and the word 'chiro' after it. If your card has this, you are covered for chiropractic. If it does not it is likely you are not covered but we will still be happy to double check for you before treatment.
MassHealth
Standard MassHealth allows 20 visits a year. This plan requires a PCP referral.
Essential MassHealth does not allow chiropractic.
Medicare
Allows unlimited chiropractic visits after the $135 Medicare deductible is met. After this, each visit has a co-ins of $7.49 (as of 1/1/09.)
Secondary insurance to Medicare is accepted (and will pay the deductible and co-ins for you.) Blue Cross, MassHealth, Cigna, HPHC, Tufts etc have plans with Medicare.
Neighborhood Health Plan (under MassHealth)
20 Visits a year are standard; more can be requested if needed. We only accept this plan under MassHealth.
Network Health
CommonHealth Care is allowed for 20 visits a year. More can be requested upon the 20th visit. No PCP referral is required.
CommonWealth Care does not allow chiropractic.
Tufts Health Plan
Tufts commonly allows 12 visits a year or 20 visits a year.
United Healthcare
Plans range in covered benefits; many United plans allow 24 visits a year. ACN is required on some plans for United Health care. ACN requires filling out a few extra papers and requesting approval for your visits. We will keep track of your ACN status for you.
